About the Production
Set within the academic world of Belmont College, Spinning Into Butter examines race, prejudice, and the uncomfortable gap between what people profess to believe and what they’re willing to confront in themselves. ALT’s 2019 production, directed by Matthew David Gellin and staged in the round at The Carnegie Center of Columbia Tusculum, placed audiences at the center of this timely, complex story about racism, responsibility, and our shared humanity.
