"‘This was fun!’ exclaimed a student who also said he wished ALT came everyday.”
— Kelly Walker, ALT Teaching Artist
Life-changing theatre education programs In Classrooms, available for all ages, focused on empathy and growing 21st century life skills.
Our Students Create Change theatre education program has been proven to significantly accelerate kindergarten readiness. Using TS GOLD® Standards, children who participated in a 5-week cohort, with only 10 hours of instruction, had 92% measurable movement after just 5 weeks in Students Create Change.*
*Pre-K students receiving the otherwise identical Step Up to Quality: 5 Star Rated curriculum, without ALT In Classrooms, showed on average 60% measurable movement over 52 weeks.
Be The Legacy
At American Legacy Theatre, we’re committed to building a brighter, more inclusive future for children who need it most through accessible theatre. Driven by our core values—Invite, Innovate, Invigorate—we create welcoming spaces where every child can feel seen, pioneer fresh approaches to storytelling that resonate with young audiences, and inspire children to connect and grow through the power of theatre. By nurturing empathy, creativity, and resilience, we empower children to envision and help shape a more equitable tomorrow.
