LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Gindependence Day takes place on the ancestral lands of Indigenous peoples who have long stewarded this region. We recognize the Osage Nation, Myaamia Nation, Shawandasse Tula, Kaskaskia, and the Mosopelea and Ofo cultures, whose connection to this land continues today.

We acknowledge the history of displacement and the ongoing impact of colonization, and we honor the enduring presence, culture, and sovereignty of Indigenous communities.
