2025-26 Season Lineup
World Premiere, Limited Run · April 2026
ALT brings Bridge City to the stage for its world premiere — but only for three weeks. Don’t miss this limited run.
About the Show: Described as “Legally Blonde for Black folk,” Bridge City is a family-friendly, witty musical that blends rap, gospel, and traditional musical theatre to explore community identity, gentrification, and code-switching.
Full Script Reading · May 2026
Join us for the first complete staged reading of Clos(in)g. Experience the story in full and add your voice during the post-show talkbacks.
About the Show: Developed through ALT’s Playwrights for Change program, Clos(in)g centers on a community of neighbors facing skyrocketing rent and the fear of displacement—and what it means to stand together when home is on the line.
Theatre That Shows Up Everywhere
While many theatres highlight the classics, ALT is dedicated to something different:
Developing new works through our Playwrights for Change residency.
Bringing theatre into classrooms and neighborhoods, where it can have the most impact.
Building productions with the community, not just for them.
Impact You Can Measure
From classrooms to community stages, ALT reached thousands this year—sparking empathy, dialogue, and change through original theatre.
